We are very pleased to announce that Kate Stansfield has joined the Cornerstone team as an Associate. As interim Operations Director she is working with the existing senior team to deliver and grow all aspects of our advisory and project services including solar power, commercialisation, revitalisation of town centres and the rejuvenation of existing assets.
She also has a key role on leading our programmes to support Local Authorities to deliver their sustainability and net zero carbon objectives. This includes identifying innovative technologies and partnerships and creating improved routes to market for green energy generation & storage and net zero housing & infrastructure.
Kate brings over 20 years of experience of developing and delivering large and complex projects across both public and private organisations. These have been in a variety of sectors including energy, Government estates, waste management, transport, education, law & order, health and leisure and with a focus on central and local government, joint ventures and partnerships. She is highly skilled at building and leading effective multi -disciplinary teams and has a strong reputation for strategic leadership and collaboration.
Kate also has a proven track record of leading business change and setting up and running new delivery models. She is a former Chief Operating Officer of a Local Authority owned Property Company where she was accountable for performance and outcomes at programme and company level in areas including transformation, finance, HR, IT, commercial, risk and compliance. She has also recently set up and led large transformation programmes for two central Government arms-length bodies. She also runs her own business and brings a commercial and entrepreneurial approach.
Kate is passionate about sustainability and climate change and recently established a Net Zero programme for the Government Office portfolio including gaining funding approval from Treasury for the Programme Business Case to retrofit buildings with carbon reducing measures and to de-carbonise the Whitehall District Heat Network.
