Advisory Projects & Social Value
Cornerstone is a social investment company which delivers added social value. We identify solutions that deliver maximum benefits for local communities, achieving the objectives set by our clients.
Since our foundation 10 years ago, we have delivered more than 100 projects with high social value benefits. Cornerstone specialises in creating value to support public service and public realm improvements through the release of surplus land or the redevelopment of underused assets.
Integral to our work is building ‘added value’ for social, economic and environmental benefits, including:
- Local supply chain
- Local employment
- Skills and training
We will consider these on a project by project basis and will ensure that social value is a key driver, agreeing the approach/objectives with clients at the outset.
Cornerstone’s employees and associates are expected to contribute at project level to social value. In addition, we have a close relationship with the Talent Foundry, a national charity, working with schools in areas of high deprivation, improving the employability of young people. Our Project Director & Company Secretary, Kirsten Flynn, provides pro bono governance support.
Our social values can also be evidenced in our commitment to deliver tangible added value to long-standing public sector and charity clients.
